This is a great little information centre which is also where you'll find a range of different museums. We visited the rail museum, military museum as well as the art gallery. The museums are small, but provide a great insight into the towns history, industry as well as showcases some of the talents of the local people - such a craft bunch! Well worth a stop while in town.

We were greeted by a very helpful lady who is obviously passionate about her town. She took the time to explain about the museums, quilt show and other attractions of the town.

Great centre. Friendly staff, lots of helpful and useful information. Art gallery out the back. Easy parking

This info centre is well stocked and maned by well organized staff and they know the area. Congratulations

This is not about the Info Centre itself( the ladies there were friendly and helpful and struggling to even tell us where to get a coffee ... try the next town), but in all our recent Outback travels, as we tried to help Regional Qld in their struggle through these tough Covid times there was pretty much only one Thumbs down - Quilpie. They did NOT want outsiders there, no matter how careful. Pretty much everything in town was closed... cafes, pubs, local toilets... even to their own locals. Very unfriendly town, won't ever be back. They've really shot themselves in the foot with their attitude, unfortunately they will probably never recover, as they aren't even trying to keep things going the best they can, like most other Outback towns
