MyFitness Club Sippy Downs

I have just joined this gym a few weeks ago because it is right near my workplace at WOTSO Sippy Downs. The gym has great classes (well thought out timetable), friendly staff and a women's section. Plenty of equipment for what I need and seems to be really clean and well kept. Highly recommend :) - Katie.

Great Gym friendley & close to shops

Great place to workout, heaps of equipment and friendly staff. It would get a 5 star if they invested in another power rack or two as there is currently only one power rack and one squat rack which can be difficult especially in the busier hours!

Great club, so much space! Great staff and LOVE the classes (so many on offer)! The members are super friendly and make each visit enjoyable

I was a part of this gym for several years and I gradually got more and more annoyed with the place. Over the past 4 years they have had 5 different managers and over 20 different PT come and go. It has to be one of the most unhygienic gyms I have ever been to. From guinea pigs in the Crèche, to dogs in the main gym, to dust filled fans and machines and of course never any soap in the bathrooms. Most of the staff do not acknowledge you as you enter and leave the gym weather there busy or not, the PTs are rude and not willing to help unless your paying for there service and the machines have in the past taken over 3 months to fix. Now that good stuff… They have a maintenance fee of $5 every quarter yet no staff or even the contract states what it is for. If it is for the maintenance of the gym that is wrong as it is far from maintained. They have a billing fee on every payment deducted from the fortnight payment. There is a $10 fee if they attempt to withdraw money that isn’t there, YES THEY BILL YOU STRAIGHT AWAY, no second attempt or contact to follow up and there is no where in the contract that states a time they withdraw money (only within a 24hr period) And my partner had her fee taken out as a direct purchase not a debit. They also have set direct debit dates they do not change so it you sign up 3 days before this date you will pay a full fortnight for 3 days use. Last but not least, some of there 5 star reviews are past and current staff not customers, and they also want 4 big whole weeks notice before you can cancel you membership. I hope this reviews deters people signing up here and that the look for other gyms in the area and always read the fine print and ask questions.
