Soldiers' Memorial Hall, Ipswich

The Ipswich Alchemy Street Choir sang here for the meeting of the War Widows. It was a Real pleasure once again to sing here. A Lovely Spread was served for All to Enjoy and A Raffle was also held with a few of the Choir Members winning a prize.

This place is really interesting and fun to visit, I would definitely recommend to anyone that is travelling through or to Ipswich.

The Soldiers' Memorial Hall was built in in the 1920’s and has always had a special association with the RSL and related groups such as Legacy, Women's Auxiliary and War Widows. The hall contains many artefacts, memorial tablets, honour boards and continues as a community focus for returned soldiers. There is a large semicircular stained glass window on the northern side and part of the dedication reads “This window was erected by the IPSWICH TRAIN TEA SOCIETY and all the little children who helped them.”
