This is the first time I have ever posted a review on anything but I am dumbfounded at the world we live in . My 5 yr old daughter just got turned way cause she had a little cough . The lady at the counter said the doctor won’t see her if she has a cough . Won’t see a 5 yr old who is sick . I was under the impression that is a doctors job. Surely the Australian health system is better then this . The lady at the counter is just doing her job - I’m not blaming her . I don’t usually write reviews but when it comes to kids - all bets are off . It won’t let me post with no stars , so I had to give it 1 .
I had a great experience at Australian Health Care Centre. I made an appointment online which was very easy. Dr Sarah Wright was running on time, was so lovely & helpful. One of the best experiences I have had at the doctor!
I visited the centre on Friday evening. I am a 62 year old woman. I presented with a lot of pain and requesting pain relief. I understand there are people who try to get prescription drugs from doctors. But I was made to feel like a criminal. The Dr kept firing questions at me, like I'd never experienced during any consultation before, barely any eye contact, and not at any stage was I shown any empathy. Three times during the consultation I was referred to as middle aged.nIn his defence he did examine me, and did ask appropriate questions relating to my condition.nBut the way I was spoken to and made to feel was something I have never experienced before. I will never go there again.
Reception has gotten alot better recently.nDoctors less so. Dr Ryan Shannan literally stood in his doorway and chatted to a friend for a full 15 mins, right in front of me, while I waited. I assumed he'd finished his shift and was on his own time. But no, after he finally wound up his chat he called me in. Unbelievable! I dared to say something so he refused to see me. Doesn't much like working, this one. Though reading other reviews of him I might have dodged a bullet. A couple of the others not much better.
Zero. Used to be OK, never good. But now it is zero. The receptionists thinks is a God as treats everyone like rubbish. Not just me, so her talking to other patients - a disgrace. They sent me home, cause I had a sore throat, and this is why I came to this centre. They said would call me - never happened.
