Very friendly staff. Quick, fast service once you pay and have all the documents. Very accessible location. Used them 3 times personally to get my tourist visa to Russia. My son is now a Russian citizen too which is great because the paperwork we had was from South America but they approved it anyway because the consulate could actually speak Spanish. I recommend their services.

I began to try to contact these people since last Friday, no one picking up the phone, I called from 6am (I live in Perth) for nearly two hours! Not one person answered their phones! I finally got through yesterday and the secretary who answered the phone was very rude and very unhelpful! I tried to ask for assistance as my situation is very unique and she gave me no advice so I asked to speak to consul and and she was unsure as to when he was available. Once I finally got a hold of the consul, he barely listened to me and told me in a harsh tone, “go on the website and read” if I’d think the website would help me, I wouldn’t contact them directly for help! He then cut me off as I tried to explain my unique circumstances and said, “go on the website and read” he then hang up on me. I was reduced to tears as I need their help! I also had my time wasted. They emailed me saying, “hello, please contact us at your earliest convenience” and when I finally got a hold of them, I was told to contact the Sydney office as they pass all their enquires to them.. I was enraged. To summarize this entire experience, it was horrible, unhelpful, time wasting and the staff is very rude! You’d think the Russian consul would help us but no, it seems they don’t even care about us!

Like any Embassy, they are worried and suspicious of visitors. Be very careful with writing visa applications and give a lot of lead time for processing. Above all be courteous...Russians appreciate it.
