Fracture Clinic, QE11 Building, RPA

i have been trying to get through to this clinic for 3 days and no answer. they have advised to email the clinic and the email address that is on voice mail is wrong!!!! Disgusting!!!!

First time to emergency and first time to the RPA fracture clinic. Very difficult to get through to make an appointment. I called non stop for a few days before the admin staff answered. Waited a few hours before i saw the plastics team. I had both a hand and elbow break so apparently that’s two different specialists so i had to return the following day for the orthopaedic dr to review the wrist to elbow injury.nnThe whole process is confusing and chaotic. I am relatively young so i can not imagine how hard it would be for elderly patients to understand what is going on.nnI was lucky to be seen by a lovely young plastic surgeon ( i believe his name was Pritesh in the plastics team) He was excellent and explained everything about my hand injury which was a metacarpal break and listened to me when i told him about my elbow injury too.nnThe next day i returned, for my elbow, different team and saw ortho register Dr Sehgal. he was also really great in explaining my injury and think he was excellent.nnAs for the physios- would advise to go private. “Swing your arm off the bed and see you in 6 weeks.” i Found a hand specialist, private physio who is helping with my recovery. My cast was half way up my arm for some reason, my new physio made me a small one. The radial head fracture did not require anything and is thankfully almost in full range motion 3 weeks later.nnoverall i think there can be improvements to the operation of this clinic, but i do feel for the staff who are under a lot of pressure with the large volume of patients.

Really frustrating place avoid if possible. Slow to be seen by dr. Why send a registra dr who knows nothing about your case. Waited 2 hours for a 30 second consult

Thought I'd be waiting for 5 hours after seeing these reviews. Friday morning appointment and was seen within 5 mins.

Don't you dare lose the pink card (seriously, is this a library in 1995?) with your appointment time, because nobody will pick up the phone here EVER. But otherwise if you have half a day to wait, they're nice.
