Burleigh British Chippy

Had the large haddock chips curry sauce and black pudding washed down with an irn Bru.. It was like being back home. Definitely will be back.

By far the best Fish & Chips on the Gold Coast !nWe’ve been there a few times now, and each time the quality of food and preparation is the same. Crunchy crisp batter that doesn’t taste oily. Tip:nGo on line and order ahead because there’s usually a wait of about 15 minutes - we’ll worth it though, if you love good food

We visited Burleigh British Chippy whilst we were on holiday in the Gold Coast.nWe are from the UK and have been living in Australia for nearly 4 years and this is the best Fish and Chip shop we have been to in Australia.nI can not recommend Burleigh British Chippy enough 5* experience the menu and staff were amazing and the food is exceptional.nWe will definitely be back :)

Please don't ever change your chips or the way you cook them... Best chips I've had and I've had many.

This was the old review, before change of ownershipn- Friendly staff and awesome British chip shop food. We go on a regular basis either for takeaway or sit in. Burleigh beach 5mins down the road is a beautiful stop to take your fish and chips.nnThis addition is 2 years on -nHad to take away 2 stars, which leaves a generous 3 stars!nSince the new ownership has taken over, things have slightly declined in quality. I've noticed the mushy peas changed after ownership more runny. The food sometimes isn't the best quality. Over cooked chips and thick heavy batter, but majority of the time it is good.nThe major change is timing. They always seem to be 10 to 15mims later on orders, on a normal day. Mostly recently Good Friday we were told a 1 hour wait, only to turn up on the hour and then being told an extra 10mins with no apology. Which is acceptable, but it was actually an additional 55mins on top of the existing hour, and still no apology!nNow that's not acceptable!!nWe miss you Simon and Amanda.
