Cairns Museum

Not a large museum, but it is very professionally put together. My wife and I visited whilst in Cairns recently. Concession admission fee was $12 each. We enjoyed the experience as there was a good range of exhibits including a fairly comprehensive one focused on the local First Nations people. A good way to fill in an hour or two and learn about the local history.

Definitely worth the visit! The staff were lovely and the volunteer who guided us through the museum was very knowledgeable. You can definitely spend 2 hours here! Will be going again.

Dee and the gentlemen at the front desk were amazing and so friendly/informative. A real eye opener, Cairns past so fascinating. A must see, great especially if you've got a rainy day.

Best way to learn the history of Cairns. Really friendly staff to help you understand the museum. All the exhibition have different feature. You can have two hours trip here.
