Why Eildon Hill is what it is? The answer is likely to be here. Open Sunday and Monday afternoons (1pm to 4pm), come in and buy a book on your suburb, By a walking trail guide? Buy an Estate Map or a copy of an old Photo. Why not also join?. Membership is only $15. Ask volunteers like David and Rob about the history where you live in the old Windsor Shire. A worthwhile experience.

The Windsor and Districts Historical Society is based in the former Council Chambers, a quaint old stone building, constructed in 1897 from stone carved out of the nearby Windsor quarry. The old building and quarry are now heritage-listed and can be visited for a glimpse of this fascinating piece of Brisbane history. Visitors to the area can also visit the Windsor War Memorial located near the Chambers building and admire the beautiful old stone cenotaph.
