Awesome history of physics equipment PLUS the pitch drop experiment. Very cool.

I went for the opportunity to see the dripping pitch, and it was everything I hoped for. You could spend an hour in the tightly crammed museum. Having the audio guide is really helpful since I don't have a science background and had no idea what most of the collection was for.

The UQ Physics Museum is situated in the Parnell building and is a fantastic place for those wanting to look at a small collection of historical physics instruments.nI highly recommend following some of the audio tours available online.nA key part of the Museum is also the Pitch Drop experiment, which is brilliant to learn the history behind while being a little uninteresting to watch.nOverall, if you're at the University of Queensland and looking for something to do - the Physics Museum is a great way to pass the time while learning something new.
