Barre en l'air

Owners Rudi and Lydia are super friendly and welcoming! The instructors are all very professional-I especially recommend the barre and ballet fit classes, which focuses on shaping and sculpting one's body through ballet's principle of elongation, strength, and resistance. I have tried many different barre classes/taught barre myself, but would say Barre en l'air has been my favourite barre workout! The workout itself is very effective and I always come out feeling rejuvenated, confident, and cheerful (also knowing that I will feel my muscles tomorrow:)

I discovered this lovely studio just down the road from work when I was looking for somewhere nearby to do yoga. I hadn't previously tried Reformer Pilates or Barre, and I never did ballet as a kid, so I wasn't 100% sure how I'd find this. I took advantage of the week free trial of as many classes as I could and have found I love it! Sam's Barre classes are a great and I have also loved the Reformer with Lydia and Julius, as well as the Yoga with Danique. I have noticed a huge improvement in my core strength, and also in my posture at work. I spend most of the day working with computers, so the half hour lunch classes are a welcome break from that. The studio is air-conditioned and I find I can easily fit the half hour class into my lunch break and don't need a shower afterwards. That being said, you do work hard, and I have found muscles I didn't know I had! The staff at Barre en l'air are so lovely and welcoming and I always look forward to taking this time out for myself.
