Base 51 Functional Fitness

BASE51 doesn't even deserve 1 star. The most unprofessional and poorly managed gym I have ever seen. What was once an amazing, supportive environment has become toxic and unsafe.nI will state the trainers are wonderful people and their passion for health and fitness is genuine.nThe owners however, do not care about others. For example, this winter, the owner regularly turned on the air-conditioning at 5:00am to make the gym so freezing to force people to buy their merchandise.nMy friend jumped from the rock wall and did serious damage to her ankle. When she asked for ice, the owners refused to give it to her, stating some 'new research' bull. They are not medical practitioners and had no place to advise her on what to do with her ankle. She ended up in hospital and requires surgery now. I could go on a lot more. I have omitted a lot from this post. In essence, my advice is. Don't waste your money on these people!

I’ve been a member since opening and really enjoy the program switch every 6-8 weeks to keep it interesting. Two trainers at every class who are knowledgeable and want to help you reach your goals! Anything that continues to drag me out of bed at 430am is doing something right.

I'm not a gym person so to speak, but I have a daughter who attends and loves the entire set up, the equipment is modern and the gym is set up like I have never seen before. The owners are professional and up to date on procedures in first aid. The bathrooms are clean which is a big one for me, and they also have a day care centre. I really can't fault Base 51 at all. Thanks guys for all your efforts and encouragement.

Love Base51! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The classes are great full body workouts. Love the live DJ on Saturday morning. Highly recommend this gym.

Just joined about a month ago and as my 1st time Gym/Fitness experience I am very pleased. Very clean, well maintained and huge selection of equipments.Good trainers and good crowed as well.
