My old Townsville house needed its roof upgraded to modern day cyclone standards AND there was a leak which needed fixing before the wet season arrived. This was a leak that had confounded all previous roofers. Everyone had put it in the too hard, too expensive basket until Michael and his Tropic Roofing team came on the job.nThey were terrific. A team of good communicators who knew their stuff, turned up on time, even on a Saturday, and sorted out my roof quick smart. I now have no leaks, full certification by the independent certifier as to the cyclone standards and a bill with no surprises. I couldn't be happier.

Requested a quote to replace the flashing on my roof, received the quote from Michael but he did not quote for what I had asked for. Reworked the quote, I was happy and asked him to do the work. First guy turned up and said he could not do it and the quote was not correct. Spoke to Michael again and he said he would honour the quote. Another guy turned up, had a look and then said it had been under quoted and he could cut out the middle man, he also left and did no work. Tried to get in touch with Michael, left messages on his answer service and no reply. Left a message for him that I would look elsewhere. All in, I found Tropic Roofing to be very unprofessional, should have taken more interest in the other reviews. Poor communication as well.

We had our roof replaced under the household resilience program, and because tropic roofing quote was the lowest we went with them. Really the work they did was average at best had to get them back several times to loosen screws and fix a few other issues. There has got to be better roofing company's in Townsville. Michael the owner doesn't respond very well to calls after he has the contract from you.. I hope the roof holds up because I don't expect this company to honour its 5 year workmanship warranty..nBuyer beware here really.. Good luck!!

Michael, did not have courtesy or decency to reply to my numerous calls, txt. I have waited 4 weeks for a quote and have been waiting 5 months for repairs since the floods. Very disillusioned and disheartened by the whole repair process.
