We visited this Main Roads Museum in Sept. 2015. It was a very interesting smaller type museum suitable for all ages. They have a special program for school children. There is a short video showing very early ways of road-making up to the present time which was excellent. There is quite a few pieces of machinery in the museum showing how road building has progressed.
Well worth the visit, lots to see and great staff
Open by appointment only, which none of the tourist guides mention
Top place to spend time and reflect on the history
