For aviation fans or folks who like something different, this is several hours well spent! A superb range of historic aircraft (around 80 at time of writing this) from many eras. Many you can get up close with, and every now and then they open a few to the public (these days are identified in advance, via website!). This attraction is volunteer run, and one of the volunteers is usually on hand to enhance the visit with additional information on the displays, or just to chat about aviation in general. A good way to spend a morning or afternoon for the whole family! Plenty of parking. Coffee available in-house, and a gift shop with a range of souvenirs.

My grandson (4) and myself visited the museum on Monday. I was rather surprised at the number and variety of aircraft on display. We both had a great time. My grandson could not stop talking about his experience to his family for days. My grandson appreciated our guide who allowed him to have hands-on experience in a few cockpits and explained the amount of work carried out to restore some of the aircraft to me. Needless to say as an ex RAAF member I could appreciate the amount of work carried out by the volunteers. Some of the type were difficult to maintain whilst in service let alone by members of the public decades later. I salute you all. The museum really deserve support from a few government agencies to preserve our heritage.

If you haven't been before it is well worth the visit, great bit of historical information to see and read about.nThere are always some members around who are more than happy to give up some of their own personal knowledge and time.nEverything there has a story worth hearing about.

It was amazing to see all the old planes. My family and I loved it to bits. We will all be back again soon.. I only made it thought just the main hanger..

So many aircraft in one place. Staff were super friendly and informative. The place is well looked after. Unfortunately Covid has stopped people from accessing and entering a lot of the aircraft but you can still see everything and get up close for photos, etc.
