A great place to read about some history of Port Douglas run by volunteers but quite amazing.

The second oldest courthouse in Queensland. A great volunteer was on duty. Keep up the good work. Well presented. Nominal entry fee. Good to learn about the history of Port Douglas through law enforcement view. It was interesting to see how we have changed in our views, attitudes, values and practices even in under 90 years.

An interesting little museum set in the old courthouse. The primary exhibit is about the trial of the only woman hung in Queensland. Additional information about the are including the Low Isles is located at the back.

The volunteers at the courthouse are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Thank you for your help!
