The German Pantry

Like the others who posted! A lady came yelling at us “NO NO” very RUDELY! (I took own a cafe and while I understand restrictions - but to me this is VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you can’t give any good customer service then don’t open a store!) I will not be going into this place EVER AGAIN! SHOCKINGLY RUDE!

Saturday 3pm and the door is locked even though opening times say open until 4:30pm. No explanation on the door. 2 people being served inside and we are completely ignored even though we stand by the door for a while. Used to shop here regularly, but no more. Will order from interstate instead!

Very nice products from Germany. And friendly service. By the way they have a clearly legible sign right in front of your eyes saying no photos. You shouldn't go into any shop and take photos because you know (its good manners)

WOULD NEVER GO BACK! I drove for over an hour to purchase surprise German treats for my beautiful daughter in law who was expecting her parents for Xmas ( obviously not happening). When I entered the store there was no greeting from the woman behind the counter but as soon as she saw my phone in my hand, wham straight at me saying NO PHOTOS! I had no intention of taking photos but was trying to ask if I could video chat my son quickly to make sure I purchased things my DIL liked, again with the bad attitude and NO PHOTOS ALLOWED. I was so upset I left the store. What a horrible attitude, you would think they would relish anyone wanting to spending money on their overpriced merchandise, especially in this crazy environment. This is not the first time I have experienced the worst customer service in this store but it will be the last! Do your research and go elsewhere for German produce!

Like many of the other reviews, I encountered very unpleasant staff. When we entered, a very nasty and mean woman rudely shooed us out like we had committed a crime. There are much politer ways to tell your customers that the store has reached its capacity. All other shop owners in Hahndorf are incredibly friendly and customer oriented, so this store really does not fit the vibe. Skip these guys on your next trip, there are plenty of other stores with kind staff that are actually worthy of your time.
