Munchy‘s Asian Grocery

Fantastic Japanese store, with heaps of tasty instant ramen, plus everything you need to make your own from scratch. Just head next door to get some pork belly for the Chasu!

Best place in Darwin for Chinese/Japanese snacks. Drink, biscuits, chips, instant noodle (yes).

On Google maps, this store is called “Best one: Asian grocery store”, but it’s now “Munchy’s Asian Grocery”. That’s all fine, but it’s quite small (compared to the large Asian grocery on Bagot Rd which has food, ingredients and cooking equipment from many different regions). Perhaps it would be good to update Google maps for the name and also specify which Asian food is primarily stocked (eg I assume Predominantly Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean? I’m sorry - I couldn’t read any of the titles so there was minimal English or Malaysian/Indonesian. ) Nice friendly clean store though!

You can find quite a lot of Taiwanese food in this grocery.

Liked this experience a lot,,from delicious bags of ockra to toothpaste,and all essentials in between,this unique little shop is clean and welcoming,and the owner a delight to be served by.
