Linda Woods Design - Interiors & Renovations

I had a short 2 hour session booked with Linda, but it was amazing how much we covered in that time! With a multitude of rooms in a newly acquired 3 story home, the task of interior decoration facing me was overwhelming. I had no idea how to pull my ideas together, or if in fact, they were all worth keeping. Linda's questioning was targeted, and afforded the greatest benefit from the short time available. Linda is able to extricate a person's style and quickly make suitable suggestions for each area based on this. After confirming ideas that would work for one area, both in terms of the 'what' and the 'where,' this then made the adjoining area easier to work on. Though I have further questions, I am much more confident as I move forward. I have a palette of colours to confidently work with, and now feel that the final product will reflect what I love and at the same time, will be a stylish statement fitting for this beautiful home.

My husband said those fateful words – ‘Let’s renovate the kitchen’. At first I thought great, then I looked at the house that had raised 4 kids and realized the whole house looked tired and dated and made me feel OLD… After weeks of looking at pictures and articles online and ready to tear my hair out I came across a post for Place Craft on Facebook and an upcoming course. After checking it out, I took the plunge, signed up and never regretted it. It was informative, intensive, mind-boggling, eye-opening and even at times completely confusing. For too many years my tastes and personality got a bit lost in raising a family and just making it through day to day. Of course, I had to be one of those people with a range of personality styles – but Linda taught me the knowledge I needed to feel confident in being able to put it all together. The guest speakers were also very informative and gave me ideas which will make our reno even better. The course was thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the time and effort and it was fun watching everyone else’s styles come together as well.

Linda is a great communicator and knowledgeable in her field. The Place Craft course helped open my eyes to possibilities in design as well as gave me confidence to make decisions throughout our renovations.nI have also used her interior design services to help choose colors, furniture layout, tiles, kitchen layout etc. Her ability to get so much done within the consultation time limit I put on her was amazing!! I’ll be sure to use her services again.

I completed one of PCI's 6 week interior design workshops and absolutely loved it! Linda is a delight and very switched-on designer and teacher. Throughout the classes she passionately shared heaps of practical tips and design guidelines that any of us can easily put to work in our own spaces. She brought in some great experts from various related fields and we finished up with inspiration boards to get us started on our own projects, a great list of local suppliers and a truck-load of inspiration! Definitely recommend for anyone with a passion for interior design, wanting some help getting started on styling and decorating their own space.
