Sails in the Desert

What a great place to stay and enjoy these wonderful surroundings. Spent three nights at this wonderful hotel with the service and facilities better than what we expected. The staff were tremendously accommodating and all you had to do was ask. The restaurant team there were great and we can’t thank them enough. Clayton, Tom, Julia and the list goes on provided fantastic service and really nice to talk to. The breakfast was fantastic with everything you could ask for. The dinner at $77 a head also very special. No shortage of choice and between the oysters ,lamb cutlets and the dishes we were more than satisfied. I must admit that I had read some negative reviews and was concerned, but I am not sure if they dined at the same place. On another night we also had the bar food and a bottle of wine. The with the calamari, beef tacos and the hamburger more than enough for two and just could not get enough of the Hawkes Bay 2014 Wild Rock red. Keep up the great work and compliments to all the smiling staff whom work so hard to please so many.

The rooms are nice and the bathroom mainly the shower is amazing. The resort is nice and clean. The restaurant buffet only option for dinner is expensive. The buffet isn’t amazing for what it costs but seeing you are in the middle of the desert there isn’t much other options for food. The Gecko Cafe has pizzas that are nice. The service was great too. My biggest issue - The Resort pool has no shade at all - this I was amazed at cause in the middle of the day when it is 41degrees (I was here in March) the pool would be a great refuge to cool down - but you are just being cooked in the water. The pool needs to be at least half shaded if not all. I found from 10-4pm you would stay in the room - but if the pool was shaded I would have been in there. Easy to walk to everything in the resort area.

Perfect place to relax...pool, bars, shops everything in one place. Restaurants are good and not overpriced. Facilities are ud83cudf1fud83cudf1fud83cudf1fud83cudf1fud83cudf1f, plenty of parking available.. there is also a lookout right across from the main entrance.. there is a shuttle bus that also runs connecting different parts of the resort. Staff are really nice and helpful.. will visit again.

Really nice placenClean spacious room, comfy big bed. We had a funny chemical smell in our room but the staff was very kind and gave us another one. Nice food and drinks in the bar, the prices are on par with Sydney restaurants. Very friendly staff and lots of free activities

Absolutely fantastic experience! From the booking process to early check in to the food and service. Couldn’t fault it. We were delivered a stunning bottle of wine on our arrival to celebrate our anniversary. Such a much appreciated gesture.nRoom was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Staff were all so lovely and very attentive.nHighly recommend a stay for something to remember.
