Best service and tiles selectionnRenovating is never easy however I dealt with Adam and he gave excellent service and recommendation on colour selection and tile sizenWould always use this company to buy tiles
hinI was having a great deal of difficulty with a project redoing the stenciled concrete at my home. i had terrible advice from bunnings and went to modern tiles to buy products on that advice. i brought the products then found out Bunnings had given me terrible advice. I went back and they were so helpful and understanding. they refunded my money even though it wasnt their fault. during this my wife spoke with them about retiling our house later on and again they were fantastic. we will be going back for anything that they look after. highly recommend them
I was very pleased when I entered Modern to see that my choice was not to be limited to tones of black, grey and white. They had some beautiful shades in feature tiles which allowed me to create my beautiful bathroom with just a little touch of bling! Thank you.
We have just completed our bathroom and laundry renovations and from the moment we stepped into Modern Tiles we knew that this would be the place that we would be getting our tiles and accessories. I cannot express enough how above and beyond Adam and Sharon went to make our experience as stress free as possible. Their professionalism and expertise in the field definitely came through and I would highly recommend them to anyone.nnBrio Joinery
Hi EveryonenJust completed a 17m by 2.5m tiling job and thought I would share my experience regarding Modern Tiles Macarthur.nI had an area that had white rocks with concrete steppers that I wanted to bring a new look to.nI had been watching many home improvement shows e.g. The Block, Better Homes & Gardens etc. and on a few of them I was attracted to Bluestone paving for larger paved outdoor areas. I found some that were 600 x 300 x 10mm and 300 x 300 x 10mm and after going to 4 separate stores to pick and choose the best ones I was starting to get ready.nThis was back in September 2017 and I had not started to do anything at this stage other than get the bluestone, so I was busy researching how to go about the project as I had never tiled before and this was a significant project for me.nAfter visiting a few tile stores and Bunnings and spending numerous hours trolling through the internet I came across Modern Tiles Macarthur in Campbelltown which is quite close to my home.nI met a fellow by the name of Adam Er, who I got chatting to regarding the project and he pointed out that Bluestone was a commercial name and that bluestone could be any of 4 different igneous rocks, he suggested that I bring one for him to take a look at so he could identify which type of stone it actually was.nNext day I returned and Adam tested the tile and identified it as Basalt, he gave me advice that was invaluable as unbeknownst to me Basalt was a porous stone that would have given me heaps of grief if I didn’t treat it correctly. Luckily Adam was all over it.nAs the area to be paved coped a fair amount of heat in the summer it was important to me that the job could handle movement due to expansion and contraction, Adam guided me through the products that I would need and how to use them. I honestly could have saved myself hours searching the internet because he had a vast knowledge on the topic.nI went ahead and bought the products even though it would be ages before I would need to use them and Adam said that If there was any product I didn’t use I could return it.nI got Aqua Mix Penetrating Sealer to seal the stones, Ardex Quickbond adhesive and Ardex Abalastic to make it handle movement along with Ardex Grout in Charred Ash with Grout Booster, again to help with the movement.nMonths rolled past as I dug up the area, redirected a drain excavated down to the right depth, compacted crusher rock for the slabs, poured the concrete after installing reo mesh and expansion joints to accommodate the movement all this was done by hand and early April 2018 I was ready to start the tiling process, that’s 6 months after I bought the products from Adam at Modern Tiles Macarthur.nI was a bit confused about the mix ratios with the Quickbond and Abalastic so I called Adam and bugger me if her didn’t remember me and my project, I couldn’t believe it lol. He again talked me through the process and off I went, towards the end of the month I was ready to grout and again Adam was there to help guide me through the process.nTurned out I had more Grout Booster than I needed and true to his word he gave me a full refund on the portion I didn’t need.nWell as I said at the start I have completed the job now and I’m proud a punch on the result. I don’t think it would have been nearly as good if I didn’t come across Modern Tiles Macarthur and Adam with his steading hand guiding me through the process.nnOver the next couple of days, I will complete the clean-up of the area and that’s it job done.nnI can’t recommend highly enough the team at Modern Tiles Macarthur and all the help Adam gave me, great people, great products and a wealth of knowledge.
