Spencer Thai

Delicious!!! Generous servings, full of fresh veggies, and beautiful sauces. The angel prawns are incredible. As good as any Thai we have ever had in Sydney, perhaps better!

Weird experience with delivery, we only had a $100 cash (were not told to have the correct change), when the driver delivered the food , He only had change certain amount but advise we could pay the next day on our out of Spencer (we seemed to be in a rush). A few hours later we get a call from the owner (she accused us of scamming the driver and told us we had to come in apologize to the driver with the money we owned her) the next day when we went to pay the $2 the owner was a nightmare, owners and driver need open communication. I would advise driving down the road taking a ferry and enjoying better customer service and more options.nnFood was average I would give the food 3.5 or a 5nCustomer service was Zero.nWould never recommend

Our (me and my wife) favourite food is Thai and we more or less covered most of the Thai restaurant in Sydney. So we know the depth of Thai food pretty well. We rent a AIR BNB at lower Mangrove and saw SPENCER THAI menu booklet at the cottage. Decided to have dinner there. We are Muslim and definitely we look for Halal meat (Chicken & Beef). We SMS them and surprised to know their meat is halal. Called them and book for a table on the deck for dinner. Start driving and our expectation level was 50/50 (it’s a non-busy small little town Spencer- what else you expect?). Kurt (owner of the restaurant maybe) greeted us at the entrance, amazing human being with great sense of humour and customer service skill. Got excited and Ordered more than our eating ability. Trust me - The taste of their food just hit the roof of our expectation. Veges are so fresh, felt like they harvest veges at the back. Every single items we ordered just 101 out 100. Can’t wait to meet the chef and found the guy is full of experience. We Left the restaurant with a pure satisfaction.nnDefinitely They are in my first 3 Thai restaurants list. This place is excellent, the restaurant is itself has a great deck overlooking the river, friendly staff, and the food is excellent. Definitely worth dropping in.
