I am an ALDI client since it opened 2 and half years ago. I know some staff by name and they know me. However, today I and my husband went there to buy a churros maker. I asked the Assistant Manager, Corine, for help and she informed me the item was sold out in all stores. Since I was already there, I took advantage to buy some groceries. Upon finishing my purchases and paying for them at checkout 4, the Training Manager, Alan, demanded me to open my bag and show it to him. I was shocked because this has never happened before. I felt so embarrassed and disrespected in front of the other clients, that I started to be emotional. I understand they have a shop lifting problem, but this doesn’t give them the right to harass the regular clients. I am making this review, so others that have been disrespected can feel empowered to complain and stand out for themselves.
