Carpet Call Moore Park

Would not use again or recommend!nWe engaged carpet call to install hybrid hard flooring in our new home. We had to plan our settlement, new floors and move in date to all fall in place with one another and were v.clear with the salesperson on this. I asked if it was possible to guarantee all the flooring for the house could be completed in 1 day. After the salesperson came to inspect the property, committed to the order base on this assurance. We were also told that there was only a v.small chance of any additional cost direct to the floor layers, if there are unforeseen circumstances, however not likely based on the inspection to provide the quote.nNeedless to say I was extremely disappointed when the layer arrived and after one look at the job, confirmed there was no way this was possible to complete in one day and within ten minutes confirmed there would be significant extra cost due to items such as tile removal, which we were told was included in the quote...!nI often judge a business on how they react when things go wrong and problems arise. In this case, Carpet Call failed. I had to keep chasing them all day as they never called me back with a resolution despite promising to do so. They claimed none of it was their fault, even though the layers said that what we had been told by the salesperson was just completely unrealistic from the outset. I was left with $2,500 bill from the layers, on top of the 9,500 spent directly with carpet call, and all carpet call did was reduce the additional cost down to $1,900... most of the difference coming out the pocket of the layers rather than their own. Completely unfair on both me and the layers, who to be fair did the best they could given the hole they had been put in by carpet call.nLesson learnt - only use a company who will both sell the product and do the install to avoid them selling the dream and leaving someone else to sort out the mess.

Clueless sales assistant couldn’t tell us the difference in the wool carpet between price points other than constantly repeating that it was “deluxe”.nWe ended up pulling our own samples, laying them on the floor and googling to get info on warranty, etc etc while he stood there watching with a calculator.nDespite this we still wanted to book a time to get a measure/quote but we’re told that they were too busy in the next week and couldn’t make an appointment. I asked about the following week we left our details with the expectation that they would call to work out a time/day- to no avail. We felt like an inconvenience. We have since ended up purchasing carpet from another company who were far more helpful with the product and were able to easily book us in for a measure and quote.nAttending this business was a waste of our time and we won’t be returning.

Great service, product knowledge and range. We made a number of changes as our renovation evolved and Sezer was very accomodating. We would not hesitate to recommend and use again.
