Hard Times Mine

Since the real mines no longer run tours due to many reasons (OH&S the main one) this was a very good alternative. They have created a very realistic alternative with many examples of machinery use, the noise and feel of a real mine. Our guide was informative (and a bit of a character). Thoroughly enjoyed it and worth the money.

This is good fun. No,not a working mine now! But you learn a lot about how it used to be & the hard times & work the miners went through. The tour guide “ Excuse me”. ( you have to do the tour to appreciate this). Was a great wealth of information . This guy worked this mine so knows his stuff.

It was excellent. Our guide (Excuse Me) Mr Ian Brown was the best guide you could have.

Had a fantastic time here. The mining tour was excellent. Worth it. Cameras not allowed underground.

This was a wonderful 3 hours spent learning the workings of life underground in a mine. We were met by Butch our guide for the morning, after he kitted us all out with overalls, rubber boots, safety glasses and hard hat complete with head light he delighted us with his expertise with all aspects of mining. He was professional, knowledgeable and also very funny, we had photos taken and a ride in a lift down to our walk through the tunnels. Butch you are a legend, thank you for our Mt Isa mine experience.
