Cancelled my membership 3 years ago when i moved overseas and just noticed they are still charging me in my Australian bank account. Also realised they have been charging me through Covid, when they said payments had stopped.. Not happy at all. Can't even contact them to stop the payments as no one picking up the phone. Currently talking to my lawyer to get reimbursed for years of payments which continued after cancelling my membership. Edit: EMF has asked me to prove I cancelled 3 years ago.. the only way to cancel is to go into the gym and you do NOT get a receipt for cancelling. They purposely give you no proof. After searching if this has happened to other users it is clear that I'm not the only one this has happened to. I've spoken to ACCC, Consumer Affairs and my lawyer and they are investigating. Consumer Affairs explicity stated "we consider that requirements to fill in specific forms and/or complete certain procedures to cancel a contract constitute unnecessary formalities and are unfair." If you have had this happen to you please contact me. Only allowing people to go into the gym to cancel, as well as charging someone who not only cancelled, but who clearly has not used their service for over 3 years should, and possibly could, be illegal.

Terrible service. They only care about taking your money. Been trying to contact them for 2 months by phone and sent email and nobody got back to contact me.

My 12 month contract ended in may and EMF are still charging me. I’ve called, I’ve emailed, And nothing has been done. STOP IGNORING MY EMAILS AND REFUND ME PLEASE.

Great friendly staff and I joined as you get access to other EMF Gyms on the Gold Coast so great if you need one near work and one near home as I did. Great machines plenty of great options and the pool looks great and I’ll be trying it out over Summer this year. Great facilities and once you have joined you have 24hr access which suits so many people today.

I signed up a membership because I really enjoyed the bootcamp class which was mainly outside. Now, this stopped apparently because running outside is too dangerous. Well, if running around the pool or on a carpark is too dangerous we could use the Jock Rutherford Park on the other side of the road. Or let me sign a waiver so the risk is on my side. I work everyday 9h in a office and really enjoy not having to do the same in the gym. They even close all blinds in the gym so you can look outside and the aircon is way too cold.
