Carrara Sports Precinct Parking

Opposite Metricon Stadium in Carrara, QLD, and is signed as the BLUE carpark. It appears to hold several thousand cars. To reach the entrance, turn onto Alabaster Dr from Nerang-Broadbeach Rd. The parking area is NOT operated by Metricon Stadium, and the stadium website offers NO information whatsoever on parking in the BLUE carpark. When I tried calling the stadium for information (July 2020), I could not reach a live person. My understanding is that this parking area is open for event days at the stadium, but is operated by whoever is the home team playing at the stadium. In the case of the Essendon v N Melb match (July 2020), Essendon were deemed to be the home team. After purchasing your tickets for an AFL match on the Ticketek website, another screen will appear offering the opportunity to pre-pay parking (currently $10 in 2020). As opposed to the match tickets which are digital and can be downloaded to your mobile phone, the prepaid parking must be printed on paper and shown to the attendant. For me, this required going to OfficeWorks to print out the voucher. :(
