Nice shop with such a lot crammed in, coastal and many other decor styles. Good selection and prices but absolutely zero customer service training clearly on today’s visit. No cheery greeting, just take payment and that’s it, no end of sale, see you again.....nnHowever, last Friday I was there and a lovely young woman served me and made light conversation as she carefully wrapped my many purchases.nnMust be terrible to work in a beautiful gift shop, be surrounded by beautiful things, be able to take a lunch break in a major shopping centre, unlike my job, people swearing / spitting at you, tying to assault you even though you’re there to help the dregs of society.....nnAnd yes, I have worked in retail.

Giving two stars as they do have some lovely stock with some reasonable prices , however was in the store today ( twice) to make a purchase ( first time browsing , second time purchasing ) and I have to say I received the worst service ever . Neither time was I acknowledged by a staff member , not even so much as a hello , or eye contact , staff were more concerned with paperwork . I brought the item to the counter, still no acknowledgement, the pair continued to talk business in front of me - which I consider to be quite rude ,one lady grabbed the item , punched the price into the till and then took the cash NEVER even muttering a word at me . After receiving my change I asked for a bag to carry the item in to be told with attitude that they only had the canvas ones for sale ( I fully support the cause of less plastic but did not appreciate the attitude of the lady) It made my blood boil and I truly regret giving them any of my hard earnt money . The staff members were two ladies ( one older , and one younger , possibly mother and daughter? ) I would suggest if you want your business to succeed it may be in your best interest to increase your level of engagement with customers ( a hello or a greeting when making a purchase goes a LONGGGG way) or risk further reviews such as this one .
