I looked for the best maxilfillo surgeon in Perth as I was very nervous and found Dr Gebauer. I had all 4 wisdom teeth out a couple of months ago, no complications, very proffessional, felt safe the entire process. Would recommend!

Dr Gebauer was really informative during the consultation. He made suggestions and gave me options about what to do with my wisdom teeth removal. I decided to go with general anaesthetic because i had to remove four of them. The staff was also helpful in arranging the operation as i needed to change date. The operation itself went really well. I didn't feel the pain at all and didn't take any painkillers until 24 hours after the surgery. The recovery process went quicker than i thought. I was able to eat pasta after 3 days and normal food a week after surgery. The overall experience was not as bad at all, unlike what people normally say. He is highly recommended ud83dudc4d

After suffering severe facial trauma from a heavy fall, my Father had the tremendously good fortune of receiving exceptional care and emergency facial reconstruction surgery by Dr Dieter Gebauer supported by his team in the Park Hospital in Perth just days before Christmas in 2018.nnWhat impressed us was the total professionalism, urgency and compassion in Dr Gebauer’s approach to Dad’s surgery and care. Dad’s case was far from straightforward as he had smashed his cheekbone in a fall, leaving the left side of his face depressed by what seemed like an inch into his face. The orbit bone which supports his eye had disintegrated. In addition to the complex nature of the surgery required, there were other factors impacting on the surgery including Dad’s age then being 80, his renal function having dropped to 9% and his having high blood pressure. However, we were comfortable with the team proceeding with the surgery after their considerable investigations with specialists’ input and care in preparing him for surgery overnight.nnIn one operation, Dad’s face was reconstructed and looks completely normal. He has no scarring. After the operation, Dad had minimal impact on his vision and his minor visual issues resolved within days rather than weeks or months. For pain relief after the surgery he needed to take only 1 Panadol.nnDad’s journey to surgery started when he had a heavy fall on a tiled bathroom floor 10 days before Christmas. After being stabilized as an in-patient in the Albany hospital, he was discharged. Dad’s GP then referred him to the maxillofacial unit at the Fiona Stanley Hospital on the morning of 20 December. Dad’s suitability for surgery was rapidly assessed and he was offered an operation, however, the scheduled lists had finished for the year and Dad faced a waiting list for his operation and we were concerned about having to compete with other patients needing urgent surgery over the Christmas period. We were advised that the ideal time for the operation is 10 to 12 days after the accident and that after too much longer the opportunity for reconstruction surgery would be gone as the bones would mend in the wrong positions. Accordingly, we explored private options. In what we consider to be an incredible stroke of luck and a miracle, Dad was offered an operation with the extraordinary surgeon Dr Deiter Gebauer who operated with the very thorough anaesthetist, Dr Scott Aronson, at the Park Hospital in Mt Lawley. We are grateful to Dr Aronson as he was prepared to perform the operation after careful research and prepartion of the patient even though Dad was clearly a high risk patient. We are doubtful that the operation would have been so very successful without such a competent and highly qualified surgeon who has a special interest in facial trauma surgery. The doctors at Fiona Stanley were shocked in early February when told that Dad had a smashed face just before Christmas, they said the job was perfect from a visual perspective.nnDad was the last patient on Dr Gebauer’s surgery list for 2018 and we can only say that despite the situation it was an excellent Christmas present.nnDad had an MRI scan the day after the operation which was checked of course by the good doctor and follow up appointments went smoothly.nnWe have written up what happened in some detail in the hope of assisting anyone seeking information about where they may seek out medical care and surgery after the kind of potential personal disaster my Father had before Christmas.
