Cotter Academy of Highland Dancing

My daughter has been learning with Amalia at Cotter Academy for over 2 years. My son has also started this year after seeing how much his sister loves going. Amalia is an amazing teacher who genuinely cares about her students and strives to help them achieve their best. All students are welcoming and my kids have made some beautiful friendships. I highly recommend Cotter Academy.

Amalia is a fantastic Highland dance Teacher. She's fun, professional & my little girls just adore her and their Scottish culture. I’ve done highland dancing for most of my life, am a former dancing teacher myself and I now have a little boy who’s danced with Amalia for almost 3 years. I can say from the perspective of a dancer, teacher and a mum that Amalia is just fantastic, I couldn’t speak more highly of her. She’s was a champion herself only years ago - which makes her fairly unique as a studio owner - and she’s a judge so she knows what’s expected of dancers in competition. She’s knowledgeable and firm but lovely and kind, and my little boy absolutely loves his classes and his dancing.

Amalia (the lead) has unrivalled technical knowledge and attention to detail.nnShe also really cares for each and every student and it shows within her teaching. The community vibe is very friendly and welcoming. :)
