I’ve been coming here every Wednesday and usually another couple days a week for the past year. The holds have been recently upgraded for some courses which is great! The staff are always lovely to deal with and very into climbing, they’re great to ask for advice as well. The top rope and bouldering sides are very different but both offer high quality courses, I hope they expand the bouldering room soon to compete with ‘Flow’ though.nnWhen Flow opened, my group made the decision to stay members at Rockit as they offered a great discount on gear and have top-rope which is nice for training the forearms. However, the main reason is because the course setting has a more accurate difficulty range where if you’re generally at a ‘Green’ course skill level, you can work on all of the greens and they are great problems to work on. At Flow, it’s generally either too easy or too hard, so can get boring.nnPros:n1. Top-Rope and Boulderingn2. Accurate course difficultiesn3. Friendly, knowledgeable staffn4. Excellent members pricingn5. Regular changes to coursesnnCons:n1. I don’t like the painted walls, makes it hard to sprawl your feet up the wall.nnOverall, a great place that has been the only gym on the Sunshine Coast for years. Will continue to support you guys, thanks!

Well, for a terribly rainy weekend that thwarted all our outdoor climbing trip plans for Easter, this was better than nothing. We just left...The staff were friendly enough and it was nice to see a varied selection of climbing shoes in the front entrance.nIt goes downhill from here.nn(My husband and I are 20yr veterans of rock climbing/mountaineering so granted, our expectations are likely much higher than most. )nnIf you have never climbed before and know next to nothing about climbing - this may be the place for you.nnYou’ll leave in the same state of ignorance, this is not a place to learn anything about climbing and the staff are pretty green. But you’ll probably enjoy watching your kids take a few routes and no harm done.nnOur major complaint lay with the route setting.nIt’s pretty bad.nThe routes are like ladders. The typical set ting to make a route more difficult is to put smaller holds further away, (but still in a ladder type sequence) and then just remove some feet so you have to smear a blank painted wall to a high step.. Honestly, terrible - but clearly just a lack of quality route setting experience.nIf you’ve been on great indoor routes- the likes ‘Urban climb’ West End for example, you’ll be greatly disappointed by the routes here.nThe belay lowering is very difficult, (but as a plus I don’t think there is any risk of a person falling from the top of a route.nThink old, smooth holds from year 2005 set in a ladder sequence with hard grades just being more stretched apart and smaller and that about sums it up.nThe small bouldering gym was better.nThe holds are all still really polished and old in feel/style but the problems made sense and were more ‘flowly’.nnSo all in, in a bit of disrepair throughout, good for a kids party (but don’t expect nice facilities - maybe they will renovate... are they ? It was hard to tell).nnIf your a climber, don’t go unless very desperate. It’s worth it to drive to Brisbane to go to Urban climb or just climb outdoors.nnWould likely never go back unless truly desperate to burn out forearms.

Small and genuine climbing gym that seems to be serious about climbing. We went there as an extended gumby family on a stupidly busy day, and the staff were professional, patient, and friendly. Props to Michael for the best safety intro I've had in an Australian climbing gym.nnThe walls aren't that tall, but they cater to a range of abilities. Plus they've got a good looking bouldering area and climbing training setup if you're minus the family.

Great fun! We went there with two adults and three kids (aged between 4 and 6). Thanks to their five automated walls, the kids and adults could all have a proper go at climbing. The older kids made it to the top of a few walls (the adults not so much), so perfect difficulty variety. We'll be back!

The climbs in the top rope section are always very pour and could do with some updated holds and better routes set. The boulder area is much better though small in size.nnI have young kids and would not take them here again.
