The reason for my 1 star rating is as followsnJust came back from a trip from your town myself and 2 daughter's where there to celebrate a birthday.nI was truly blown away with how dirty your town is with no mowing of any of your verges and lot's of rubbish and glass on every bit of road we walked on or over. What are your garden crew doing.nI took my camera out once to take a picture of the famous Cable Beach which was lovely, but other than that it was just really sad that I didn't feel there was anything worth taking a picture of .nThe hotel where we stayed was the only place I gave a 10 out of 10 and all the beautiful Frangipani tree's and a couple of restaurants we attended.nYou really do have a great marketing group as they talk your town up as being beautiful but sadly it isn'tnPlease consider taking a lot more pride in your town.

A very poor attitude to visitors who spend a lot of money in town. I was concentrating on not stalling in the soft sand at the entrance to Cable Bay Beach during my first visit to the beach and did not see the sign saying that vehicles were only permitted north of the rocks. The ranger promptly came over and issued me a fine without a warning. Warn first time offenders and move them on but fining them straight off is a tad draconian. What a welcome to Broome. Oh well, goodbye Broome. Won't be back nor will I encourage anyone else on many and various social media traveling & camping pages. If I could give no stars and still comment I would.

Very very very poornSo appalling the way the shire treats visitors here when trying to find affordable caravan park accommodation with petsnWill definitely be sharing our experience with others as we continue to travel around.nWe were advised by many others how badly visitors are treated here but refused to believe it. Sadly our experience is the same as others have described.nThe shire council appears to be at the Centre of the problem with self interest amongst councilors paramount

If I could give no stars I would. The City of Broome continues to support its Sister City relationship with the Japanese town of Taiji. Each year, the town of Taiji conducts a daily hunt and slaughter of dolphins between September and March. Broome Councillors are very much aware of the practices of Taiji and still, with this knowledge, continue to hide behind bureaucratic red tape and continue their association with Taiji. They are cowards of the worst kind.
