Earlwood General Practice

I has severe abdominal pain over 2 nights, and this was the closest and earliest place I can make an appointment.nI was out front and called to make a booking ASAP. Receptionist was not compassionate when I had arrived in the waiting room, waiting for over 20 mins the pain had gotten worse whilst waiting but no one checked innA medical student was assigned to help me, she could tell I was in pain, however, she had to step out multiple times to consult the doctor which took over 10 mins each time.nnDoctor comes back, asks the same questions as the med student and half-heartedly he misdiagnosed me.nHe had dismissed my description of the pain and where it was resonating from. He had felt my abdomen but “misses” the section which was inflamed.nInstead he diagnosed a pulled back muscle, prescribed Voltaren, told me to wait for an hour and if it doesn’t get better go to hospital.nI told him I did exercise but it was light (note I’m a healthy adult who regularly exercises, I know what a pulled muscle feels like and this was not it)nnI had to book another doctor after for a second opinion.nThis doctor referred me to get a blood test, urine test and x-ray. His diagnosis was more reasonable and I now have received the correct treatment and feeling a lot better.nnI believe the doctors name who treated me at this practice was Dr Evangelos Koumoulas.nThe way he communicated with me in front of the medical student was a poor example of a how doctors should treat patients I.e. not listening and overlooking patient’s symptoms then downplaying the patients pain.nnThere is no email to send this feedback, and I don’t believe this feed back would be forward on by reception.nOverall poor experience in all regards.nWould not recommend.

Once Dr Kelly and Dr Jessica left....the new medical students are not up to standard....no Dr to patient manner or understanding of the patients needs.....Asked to see a more senior Dr for future and was told they are not taking any more new patients....i have been with the practice since 2012.nThank God I have found a new Dr at Southern Doctors Clinic Campsie who understands and will provide me with stability and confidence.

Can't fault the service. My baby was sick and they saw her immediately. Happy, friendly reception staff and the doctors seem to know what they are doing. I will definitely return.
