Goodlife Health Clubs

The worst workout experience ever. I've been a Goodlife member for years and use many of their Gold Coast and Brisbane gyms and normally leave on a high from endorphines after my workouts. I stumbled upon this location today and what a let down. Overstaffed and underdelivered! The machines are ancient. I tried the weight machines and was unimpressed, so complicated to adjust or see what weight limits you are actually doing as the weights are just numbered 1-10. I also did some cardio on the treadmill and couldn't enter the speed I wanted so had to manually keep pressing the buttons to reach the right speed then keep holding it down to go back down, at some points the numbers just kept moving on their own so I had to use the emergency stop! A gym full of old and outdated machines. Change rooms are tiny, there was 5 guys in there fumbling around each other to get to their lockers. Toilet cubicles that don't lock. It's crazy when compared to other goodlife gyms that this one can use the brand name. On the way out I could see there was about 7 staff standing behind the counter and gym goers were just ignored. They may be great owners from the reviews but what a rundown and outdated gym they "manage".

Not a bad gym. Its busy in peak times but what gym isn't? Not much in the way of equipment. Limited machines means your always fighting pt's for equipment. Most of the equipment is very dated with weight plates cracking and dumbbells missing parts. The sign in equipment and music is always on the Fritz for some reason as well. Not a bad club but I wouldn't pay more then then minimum for it

Been coming to this gym now for about five years and I love it, and my gym family. Customer service has improved dramatically since Britney and Mel took over the front desk job (Mikaela was always great too). I’m always greeted with a smile, and they have bothered to learn my name (which is a nice feeling) and happy to have a wee chat about what I’m training that day. I find the PTs to be very conscientious about how much space they are taking up, and would 100% recommend this place. There is always room for improvement however, and I think upgrades to the bathrooms and music system should be addressed!

Great little gym. Even is not that many machines here, but guess what the sauna is working!!!

I was a member for around 3 years and absolutely loved it. The staff were very helpful, and most of the PTs exceptionally good. I've done several challenges, referred friends to be members, and sung the praises of Goodlife to everyone. However, when went in to say goodbye and informed that I would be leaving because we've moved quite a distance away, the receptionist said nothing. 2 weeks later I receive three phone calls from the so called new Customer Service Manager (oh Mikaela you are missed). At no time did she ever say thanks for being a member, or sorry to see you go. No - just launches into a tirade about how I have to pay a month's notice if I want to quit. I had no idea that I had to pay a month's cancellation fee. I was not informed of this on my last day. These 3 harassment phone calls, with the threat of putting it to debt collection for $59, have absolutely left a bad impression and sour memory of what was a wonderful 3 years. How one person can ruin a business very very quickly. A nasty stupid girl who's got no idea what customer service and customer experience really means.
