Went there today and the office said they don't have any dogs up for adoption. The sign clearly says adoption when driving in to park and clearly you can hear dogs barking but they don't offer adoption for dogs at Willawong animal pound and shelter? Having better management and clearly stating exactly what they are about would be great. They do adopt out animals but dogs aren't one of these animals. They do pick up animals off the streets and impound them there but not adoption apparently.

We recently adopted a chicken from this rescue centre and the staff were so amazing and helpful with the process. New a lot about the help of the chickens and how to care for them. The woman who helped us was very friendly and obviously wanted the best for all the animals at the shelter.

My dog was taken here and after being in contact with staff every day for a week was back in brisbane six days later to collect him and pay his dues.(they rang me every day and I told them I lived on a sailboat with him and was away).nnThey did not tell me at any time he had contracted kennel cough but when collecting him was told he would need the meds i was being charged for and futher visits to a vet at my own cost.nnHope whatever staff member that ends up with him is happy.nGenuine stumpy tailed blue heelers from outback nsw are rare here in queensland so take good care of him.nnI have never met such a passive aggressive young manager in my life.nnGood job telling me how it was my fault my dog is now sick after you made him that way.

Amazing job being done by amazing people. Has a range of animals looking for a new home similar to the RSPCA. They don't patch up or care for injured animals, they need to go to a vet. Shelter is well run but as always would benefit from physical and monetary donations.

I couldn’t be happier with the service provided by the team at Willawong, unfortunately my boxer Marley got out but thankfully he was found and taken here for the night. The services are prompt and professional and all the staff are great.
