They asked us to purchase tickets and travel insurance and eventually didn't issue visa to us for redicolous reasons. In the rejection letter they mentioned the reason you want to go to Netherlands is not satisfactory!!!!! While we applied for tourist visa. We both are Permanent Residents of Australia and in less than a year will be eligible for the Australian citizenship. We gave them all the documents they asked for. We just wanted to go there for holidays and catch up with family and friends. We purchased the thickets for $5000 and faced penalty for $3800. Who's gonna pay for this now????? No one in the Consular and embassy gives us any proper reasonable answer. They put us in the wild goose chase situation. We believe the decision was made based on personal preference rather than facts and we have been discriminated against. We believe they are racist and this is a symbol of rascism. I WILL NEVER GO TO THE NETHERLANDS AND SPEND A DOLLAR there or purchase anything from Netherlands. I will not buy anything from them, will not do any business with them. If you want to go to Europe and need visa, try different countries. Don't waste your time with this poeple who are still racists in the 21 century. Such a shame for Netherlands embassy. We will never forget this disrespectful and disgraceful behaviour.

It was a pleasure to deal with the staff at the Consulate.Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There can be a little bit of a wait but that is only due to people not having everything filled out correctly / haven't brought all the necessary items. if you read everything carefully on the website you'll know exactly what to bring. I didn't spent more than 10 minutes at the counter once I was called up. Yes it's not great that we can't get this done in Melbourne/Perth/Adelaide/Brisbane but that's the way it is. Get over it :)

I'm happy with the behaviour of the staff but very surprised and unhappy with the outcome of the decision of my visa as I provide all the the documents and they rejected my visa for a silly reason and not responsible for that.

The staff are extremely kind and patient. The lady that assisted myself was well mannered and knowledgeable. Timely process but I was well educated and informed on the information needed. Floor 23 fyi
