Colin is a wonderfully knowledgeable and personable practitioner. He is big on education and prevention (like a good practitioner should be). I went in for my yearly check up, thinking perhaps I needed a filling or 2. ( I generally have very well cared for teeth - to the best of my ability). I was educated on exactly how to brush my teeth to fix and then prevent the progression of receding gums (and periodontal disease). I had been told about "receding gums" before, but no one had told me exactly what to do to fix/prevent this. I have also been grinding my teeth in the last few years and he was able to explain exactly why this may be and how to fix it. No one had ever suggested that my mouth was trying to "self correct" (my description) essentially a miss balance in alignment and height of teeth in the mouth to make "even contact" on all tooth surfaces again (by grinding down the "higher" surface in my sleep (hard to explain). Anyway it turns out there may be a procedure to fix this too (by the dentist modifying this in a accurate and controlled manner, rather than my teeth trying to do it over night in a haphazard and unhelpful way. So I came away with lots of information, a new brushing technique for my gums (which should also support general good health as unhealthy gums circulates bad bacteria in your blood) and a re-minerallising gel to put in my mouth nightly to help my teeth harden again (I have weakened them with too much lemon juice/water- something else I wanted to remedy), so I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! Next I will book in to address the "grinding issue". An awesome, what I call "old school" practitioner- passionate about his profession and oral health. Go and see him, you will not be disappointed!. Fabulous dental clinic. Was away on holidays noticed a broken tooth and the fit me in last minute, fixed the tooth and I continued my holiday. Thanks guys
