Consulate General of Italy

I have been in close liaison with the Italian Consul General (St Kilda Rd office) since April this year. Despite COVID conditions, the consulate staff have been efficient, receptive and engaging. They have answered my queries professionally, and I have a special mention for Arturo, who guided the process throughout. Super rude staff! I was speaking on the phone to a male with a strong Italian accent. I was enquiring about a scholarship offered by a business school in Italy. He said to me: "if you cant afford the fees, don't go there!". What a total dipstick moron!

I have had multiple dealings with the Italian consulate since 2016. I have recently been granted my Italian cit & Euro passport. I found that staff were prompt and very thorough when checking documents & presenting them. The staff I encountered have extensive knowledge of the services I required & extra information I needed. During covid-19 I am happy with how the consulate has been able to adapt & continue to serve its fellow Italians & others. I understand where some people would believe different. We come across rude but we aren't this is just Italians :) blunt, honest & straight to the point. It helps out both parties if all required documents/information are brought to the consulate meeting as it deters any delays. Ho molto felice! Grazie. C.Migotto Ho avuto più rapporti con il consolato italiano dal 2016. Recentemente mi è stato concesso il passaporto italiano ed europeo. Ho scoperto che il personale è stato rapido e molto accurato nel controllare i documenti e presentarli. Il personale che ho incontrato ha una vasta conoscenza dei servizi che richiedevo e delle informazioni extra di cui avevo bisogno. Durante il covid-19 sono contento di come il consolato sia stato in grado di adattarsi e continuare a servire i suoi connazionali e altri. Capisco dove alcune persone avrebbero creduto diverso. Ci imbattiamo in maleducati ma non siamo solo italiani :) schietti, onesti e diretti al punto. Aiuta entrambe le parti se tutti i documenti / informazioni richiesti vengono portati alla riunione del consolato in quanto scoraggia eventuali ritardi.

I had the best experience with Antonio and the team earlier this week. They were so helpful and able to explain the details and processes so well. They are all warm and enjoy having a laugh which is great.
