I studied in Caulfield campus for my master of social work degree. Very disappointed on how the SW faculty allocates student placement which is one of most important part in our study. They even didn’t have enough spots for every students! And there was a unit fully conducted online without lectures, students were asked to read journals themselves. It is sad that they just took our money without providing much support. Undoubtedly, the ranking of Monash is quite high but my 2 years experience was really disappointing.

Some of the teaching staff are awesome but others are incompetent. - 3 stars Aside from that, the university has decided to recently make staff overwork whilst undercutting their pay by about 15%. This is unethical and appalling especially during a time of crisis. This is why quality of teaching has decreased because staff are being overworked and they do not have enough time or resources to dedicate to each and every student. - 1 stars

Teachers don't want to teach here and tutors are highly incompetent and don't know most of the stuff, even the things they teach . Will not recommend it to anyone.

As a domestic student, you feel like a minority. These Chinese students hog up all the places to study, and act like they permanently own the study space for the duration of the whole day. Those who actually want to study have to go elsewhere, while these guys can sit and watch a bloody K-POP tv show...

Bit of a concern when you're being taught at the highest academic level (and going into tens of thousands of dollars in debt) by someone whose English fluency is MANY levels below yours. If you're going to force me to spend most my course trying to understand what is actually being said, the course should be free. I've actually had to give up a minor because there was just no way I could understand the teaching staff. How is this "standard" is even allowed?!! I'm not sure if TEQSA would actually care about it or not.
