I am truly disturbed. As a betta owner, I like to go into pet stores and look at how they treat their bettas, which is almost universally awful. This Petstock makes those places look like heaven. The living bettas had awful finrot, no space to move in the jars they were kept in. Yes, pet stores will tell you they can be kept in minuscule spaces like a water bottle, but I assure you, that isn’t true. They will also tell you a filter is not needed, which isn’t true either. 40 dollar Siamese elephant ears were dead in their tank, with algae resting on the body in such large amounts that it’s impossible for it to have been there any less than a week. Not only that, but random bettas were placed in larger tanks with other aggressive fish, with filter suitable for the other fish, but not a betta. I watched in horror as he was attacked by fish, and his attempts to swim away were impossible due to using all his tiny fish power to not be sucked into the filter. 15 goldfish in a tank too large for twenty, all the fish had some form of fin rot, but the bettas had it the worst. I didn’t even go in to see the fish. I went in to show my three year old brother the kittens. My brother, having grown up with bettas, said to me, ‘Dey not happy’ which tells me that these poor little guys are clearly unwell enough for a three year old with dreadful speech to be able to say that. I was standing there in so much horror. I wanted to buy all the poor little bettas, but I don’t have the space, heating equipment, filters or tanks to do so. I’m sure they aren’t being fed either, as there was bacteria or poo visible in the horrible tanks. Please, if you are an avid fish person, go and save these darlings. I would comment on the care of other animals here, but fish are my region of knowledge, so I will hold back from commenting on the hermit crabs, cats and grooming space.

From the counter staff to the groomers, all very friendly and happy to help, (probably getting to take your dogs to work helps )nDefinitely will be back, groomers went above expectations sending photos/videos when finished.

I went into this shop to bye things for my dogs, left upset as a worker was smacking a puppy hard for going to bite another puppy I said don't hit her she replied oh its OK she my dog.. I said it still doesn't give you the right to do that.. It was awful to see I got teary..

Ĺove the store small but has my aquarium needs, and very nice friendly staff.
