I came to El Matador on the recommendation of a friend. I was looking for a change from weights and rugby that I previously enjoyed but I needed some variation and I needed a new challenge - and El Matador provided. After my first Brazilian Jujitsu (BJJ) class I signed up and haven't looked back since. Lin the instructor is highly professional and every class is as tough as it is enjoyable. Tony the owner is full of life and it's hard to be tired with his energy around. He provides a comfortable environment to train in and everyone quickly becomes family. It's very common after a hard training session to sit around and chat or joke with everyone or go out for breakfast as a team. Definitely one of the most elite and enjoyable sporting environments I've been involved in. My family and I are now part of the El Matador family.

By far the best BJJ school in Queensland. Fun friendly environment. Lee is full of life and an unbelievable professor. What started as my two boys learning BJJ for self defense has turned into a family obsession. Myself, my wife and two kids all train under professor Lee and it’s the best thing we have ever done. If you want to learn from an expert that can effectively pass his knowledge into you, El matador is the place to be.

By far the best gym in Brisbane, best atmosphere and coaches! The gym mix perfectly the family, competition and fitness training! I highly recommend!
