Beautiful park right along the river! There are so many great spots to have a picnic and enjoy the lovely breezes! It’s also great because you can have a cold drink also in the park which makes it that much more enjoyable! I love being able to walk around and people watch here!

A simple park more suitable for the locals. For tourist, it will be a good place the relax and picnic. There is supposed to be lots of roses blooming in Oct/Nov, but during my visit in late Nov, a bit of flowers left. A pity that I did not visit this park at the right time.nIt is also next to an art house that has shows/dramas.

A beautiful park by the riverside, easily accessible via CityCat. Fragrant rose gardens with many varieties. Has a CityCycle station and parking available. Cafés nearby provide a good view of this tranquil area.

New Farm Park is one of my favourite parks in Brisbane. It is an ideal spot to get together with friends, to share a picnic and to relax under the shade of the Moreton bay fig trees.nnSince Powerhouse opened, New Farm park has undergone significant upgrades and in 2018 will undergo more upgrades after the Commonwealth Games.nnThe park has 200 parking spaces but I recommend that you travel by ferry, bus or bike. The variety at the park is great. There's long patches of lawn so you can kick the ball around, play frisbee, and run around. There is a fantastic playground for children of all ages.nnThere are quite a few BBQs, and most often people are willing to share the BBQ after they have used. With regards to seating there are a lots tables in the shade along the river.nnYou can hire bikes but be warned City Cycles has changed and for casual pass you now need a $50 deposit (obviously people abused the system) per bike hire.nnNew Farm park is popular among young people which is a joy to see. It is also popular with families. The council runs regular activities from the park and you can get involved in a few activities from here.nnSpend the day, you won't regret it.
