Hotel Pousada Brava Club

Brought the Mrs and two wee ones (17 and 5) for the weekend during an Xterra race. Had a blast. Rooms are clean, service is friendly and the view is great. We stayed over Friday and Saturday nights (End of November), no issues with noise from the night club that others are complaining about. Pools were clean and enjoyable. Beach service was great. Through the hotel, you have the access to a beach mattress near the water without minimum spend. DJ played throughout the day; got a little loud as the day got into the late afternoon, but not unbearable. It’s a bit on the party side of things versus a quiet retreat when it comes to the beach scene - keep in mind. Fish dishes were great; kids were happy with their meals. Rooms were a little pricey, but considering the area, it’s what to expect this time of year.nnBring you sunscreen, and enjoy the experience.

Brava Club and SILK night club with capacity up to 1,000 persons, share the same installations, with doors separated only 6 m. We stayed 4 nights and they made 3 big parties. Do not confuss is not only an hotel or pousada, is the mix of two different activities in one place, were hostess are second priority to big parties.

I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a romantic vacation in Buzios during carnival 2017. After carefully comparing available hotels in the area, we came upon the Brava Club which was rated 4.5 stars, liked what we read and saw, and booked a superior suite because at this time an executive suite was not available. A few days later, an executive suite became available and I upgraded with my price over doubling to 9,000 Rs + for nights. Once we arrived to the hotel and was shown to our room, we were shocked as this was not a suite at all. This was no more than a $100 - $150 room with no amenities other than an in room Jacuzzi which did not work. There was no coffee pot or anything else you would expect in an executive suite level room. The safe was very small and barely bolted to the closet.The hotel is old and dirty. The breakfast buffet is the quality of a 1 star or 2 star hotel. There is empty beer bottles and broken glass everywhere.The mini bar was poorly stocked etc. etc. We planned to check out in the morning and find another hotel only to find that none were available so we were stuck. Other than the small beach, you must drive everywhere as to walk would take you over an hour and all up hill. When I expressed our disappointment with the room and the fact that we were misled and deceived, to the front desk, they were unwilling to do anything about it as they already had our money. I am now disputing the upgrade charges with my credit card company as well as warning others so that they do not get disappointed and ripped off the way we were.nThis hotel experience ruined our whole trip.nDon't let the internet photos fool you.

Rooms were very basic and clean. If you speak only english is hard to communicate with hotel staff because the english speaking staff were not always there. Beautiful location off the beach. Kind of secluded, but quiet. 20-30 minute walk to Centro. Best food options are in Centro, lots of Italian food.
