A hotel outside the timeline. Designed by an icon of Brazilian Architecture (Oscar Niemeyer) in one of the most expressive moments of our country. Its location could not be better because walking we can visit practically all points of historical and cultural interest in the Center of Ouro Preto. We love the treatment we received, the hotel has a very friendly and hospitable staff typical of the culture of Minas Gerais. Spacious, well lit and airy with a breathtaking pool for the hottest days, our little one loved it. Congratulations to the entire team, especially the restaurant staff, who surprised us with very well served dinners and a delicious breakfast, full of fruits, cakes, local cookies and pancakes. It's very central hotel that gives you access to many local shops, restaurants, cafes, banks and some of the many historic churches this beautiful city has to offer. The friendly and helpful staff makes you feel very welcomed. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. It offers a very good breakfast with a variety of local cheese, bread and cakes. It also has a nice restaurant with many different dishes. The only down thing is that there isn't any air conditioning in the rooms, only a standard type of fan.

Amazing good value for a perfect piece of modernist architecture in the most striking setting. One of the early work of Niemeyer, Brazils greatest architect, the hotel is amazing not just because it's beautiful itself but also because its sits as the only modern building among the perfectly preserved 18th century buildings of Ouro Preto.nnThe rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is good. The swimming pool looks lovely.

Gorgeous two storey rooms. Unfortunately i stayed in a non renovated one, with many things broken, dirty towels left behind. The service was quite poor as well.

Excellent service. Perfect view (since it doesn't include this modern hotel!). Small pool but nobody in it since it's cold despite summer time (February). Decent breakfast but they need to seed and peel papayas. We had a duplex room for three, one slept downstairs, two upstairs which is the opposite view on the mountain : quiet side. The street side has a balcony and great views but can be noisy. Need more modern plugs, especially upstairs.
