San Martin is a beautiful spa resort hotel. The reception area is very luxurious with a very attentiv bellboy service and well trained receptionists. We spend two nights there and were not disappointed. We did not use all of what the hotel had to offer which was a sauna, pool, restaurant, travel mediation to the sights of Foz do Iguaçu and more. We booked the hotel with Expedia and there was no trouble checking in. The bellboy showed us to our room which was a junior suite. The room was confortable and alltough I personally don't like soft beds I slept very well in that one. The room was climated so we did not have to open the window which wasn't encouraged anyway because of the tropical wildlife. Wifi was free but only 20 MB for the whole hotel. But we didn't need it anyway. The hotel is only 500 meters from the National Park of Iguaçu so we walked there. But 13 km from the city center. The breakfast was great with a lot of variaties but we had diner in the city because it was cheaper even with the taxi fair. Also we got to see the city.nWe strongly recomend the hotel and will be back for sure.

Amazing value for the money! 30 USD 50 minute massage? Sign me up! Cocktails, dinner buffet, pool, mini nature trail, all here. Polite and English speaking front desk. Concierge was able to fix our tour that got messed up by the operator in minutes and was actually helpful as well. Overall, had an amazing and relaxing time here. The rooms are not too big. Not much room to open suitcases around the bed. However, there is a nice big walk-in shower that makes up for it. The hotel in general has a cabin feel with exposed beams, warm wood ceilings, but yet still feels bright thanks to large windows and courtyards.nnOverall, a place that will not disappoint, especially considering the price of it all.

We stayed at this resort for 2 nights. The location is great and service from most of the staff was excellent. The trail within the resort is also recommended.nnOur booking included airport transfers to/from the hotel. The hotel confirmed we would be collected from the airport upon arrival. When we arrived there was no transfer and no message or attempt from the hotel to give notice. We contacted the hotel and were advised to catch a taxi which would be paid by the hotel.nnOn the 2nd night we ate at the dinner buffet within the hotel. A few hours after the dinner my wife got food poisoning and was sick all night.nnUpon check out, the hotel said they weren't able to provide a transfer as the car was not available. We had to book and pay for our own transport despite this being included in our booking.nnWithout the transfer and food poisoning experience this would've been a very enjoyable stay. Hopefully this doesn't happen to other people.

Note my perspective for this review is I’m a Frequent traveler, a westerner used to American/European hotel standards.nnThis property lacks attention to detail and is a 2 star hotel by USA standards. The bathroom, for example, was quite dirty with broken tiles, dirty grout and a glass door caked with grime. There was only one AC in the room and it didn’t cool the bathroom at all. Leaving your room turns off the AC so every time you return it’s hot. The breakfast was marginal at best - but the cakes were nice! The drinks we had in the eve were way too sugary and the sugar was not dissolved (all of it was in the bottom).nnThe benefit is this property is 5 min from the airport and a 5 min walk to the falls park entrance. It is a 30 min car trip to the downtown area where most restaurants are located.

5 stars for this lovely little hotel. Great breakfast and dinner options. Friendly wait staff. Proximity to Brazil falls and bird park was ideal.nn1 star for room / service. I had left a wet bathing suite drying on a chair. Upon return to the room, it was missing. We emptied and repacked our bags multiple in frustration of not finding it anywhere. Under the bed...in the bathroom... it was super upsetting. Turns out that the cleaning service misplaced it as room laundry and found it in the laundry room. Thrilled it was found, untrilled at the lack of attention causing frustration/stress. Additionally, our deluxe king room air conditioning system only blasted freezing air (even when we turned it off).... sore throats and runny noses in the morning. Also could of been nice if the water bottles we consumed were replaced in our fridge so we wouldn’t have to go to the bar every time for late night bottles of water.
