Royal Rio Palace Hotel

I rented the presidential suite for 11 nights over the course of the holidays and my stay at the Royal Rio Palace was very good. The hotel was beautiful, the Buffay breakfast was very tasty and the hospitality of the employees were amazing. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the fact that the beds don’t have any comforters or any thick sheets and they don’t have any American channels on there cable plan when this hotel is based around American tourism.

Great hotel, amenities were worth it. Rooftop pool is also nice. Pictures make it look better than it actually is

The one star is solely for service. They were kind and helpful, and when I requested a change of room and eventually a refund, they listened to my concerns and quickly refunded me. The hotel.. did not match the pictures at all. The pool looks much older and has stains on the sides. The room we got was a super deluxe quadruple room with 3 twin beds. The beds didn’t even have bedskirts. There were smudges on the wall and mirror, and the lamp was broken. That was the first room, the second was better. Stains on things and the shower still looked bad. But we left because the bedsheet was so thin and we requested blankets. We requested clean blankets. Someone brought up two, unwrapped blankets that smelled different, and like people had slept in them and they had not been washed. Would not recommend this hotel.

A nice hotel but you could have expected air conditioning in the corridor and elevators. incredibly hot. The air conditioning in the room sounded like an airplane and was very old and could not be regulated, which you would expect in such an expensive hotel. Fantastic breakfast but weak coffee. The rooftop pool was wonderful and lovely sunbeds and an absolutely incredible view. A receptionist, a woman, at the front desk was unpleasant to us and to several other guests. It is very important that you are met in a humble manner by the staff, especially at the reception. To be honest, we did not feel very welcome from any staff at the front desk.

The room made me sneeze... I had allergies because of the dust on the bed. And upon check out they charged me $56 for the bottled water I drank from the fridge until I realized they were over charging me $20... an accounting error from their endnnAvoid
