Beautiful well maintained historical site. Former bank from imperial era. Currently hosts arts exhibitions and cultural events. In the occasion (Dec 2020), there is a very nicely curated exhibition of Mucha artwork and career.

Visited for the Mucha exposition. Properly sized collection of posters and photos. Well-laid building and not crowded at the time of the visit.

I know the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil since 2011. Its always a pleasure to be there. Various different exhibitions make it an interesting place to visit with or without family and/or friends. Especially in summer time its with his high walls a cool place to escape the heat of the streets from the center of Rio. Next to it there are several other museum, churches, restaurant places. You should avoid to be at night there. Inside the center you find small cafes for a sit in or small chats. Close to you can access the maritime museum or the naval district museum.

Such a excellent place! There's a lot of cultural attractions like art exhibitions and theater, all for free. There's places for get some coffe or lunch. Amazing!
