Shoppers Drug Mart

I had a great experience at this location. Katrina, who works in the beauty area, helped me immensely as I was trying to find my men’s health care cream. I found out that it was being discontinued. She was so awesome. She gave me a few samples she still had and showed me several new products that I could try in the future. What a great experience. Thanks.

My mother and I love to shop at Shoppers and have been dedicated long term customers. Unfortunately this morning when my mother and I went shopping at the Crowfoot Shoppers, we had a terrible interaction with a worker there.(Her name is Trina) I believe she was also a Front Manager of the store which is disappointing. We were blown away and shocked by her reaction to us as she rang us through the till. She asked if we wanted a bag, we said yes, then realized we had so few things we didn't need one, didn't want to waste one and be charged for one. When we declined, she stood there for a second, scoffed, laughed and whispered something under her breath. We were taken aback as we've never been treated like that before from any employee. The entire rest of the interaction with her was extremely awkward and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. At the end she just walked away and didn't say thank you or have a good day. We wonder if she was having a bad day... but that is in no way how she should be acting on the floor when dealing with customers. If this is not just a one-off and this is her usual attitude at work, It's not the best example for other employees working there.

I LOVE Shoppers, even if I don't need anything I love to browse the aisles aimlessly until I find something I need. This location is my favourite in Calgary. Love the cashiers, and my pharmacist.

Funny what is acceptable as customer service these days. This morning I went into shoppers to buy some contact lense solution and after taking it from the shelf I wandered to the front to pay. There was no one at the registers but there was one employee doing something on one of the front displays so I asked which till should I go to. The response was that the self serve check out was open. I told her that I didn't want to use the self serve so she took the time to come and let me pay for my goods. I then made the mistake of asking for some quick picks, and after a couple of machine gun questions on what I was asking for I found out that she didn't play the lotteries so wasn't sure exactly what I was asking for. All well and good but a) if I don't want to use the self serve, have a cashier in place and willing to work, b) get a cashier who actually has been trained in the systems that she is using and c) get one with better manners so it doesn't come off that she is doing a favour for you to BUY SOMETHING in your stores. And Shoppers, don't post a response asking me to call your customer service line - if that is all you can do, I am more than willing to take my business elsewhere.
