West Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services, Station 1

Called to inform of fire in back ally. Fire department came within 2 minuets and looked at the smoke. Was there for less than 1 minuet and then drove away. At first was very confused why they had left a ‘fire’ unresolved. After they left the smoke was still billowing up, so went to investigate the area. Smoke was not a fire but a set of pipes coming up from the basement parking lot of the building. Smells like burning garbage. Any who thank you to the prompt response time and looking into the situation. Still was weirded out that they left so quickly but now understand why. Tax dollars at good use. Thank you boys.
