McKee Peaks

My house backs on to this privately owned hiking and mountain biking area. I'm excited for the reopening of the regular parks in the Fraser Valley so my family and I can walk here peacefully again. I'm sure the local mountain biking groups feel the same way. Since COVID-19, my neighborhood has hosted hundreds of people who have no where else to go for day hiking. I can hear them talking in my backyard as they view the sunset as if there's no one else in the world but them. Our peace and privacy disappeared virtually overnight.

It was smaller than I thought.

Lots of narrow trails. Beautiful trees and underbrush. Great viewpoints over the Sumas Prairie. Best for those who like uphill climbs. Better to go with someone who knows the trails.

Good place for a hike. No navigation maps.

This is an excellent place to mountain bike or hike because there are tons of trails and it's very close to town.
